Ta-Da!

The shack (oops, I mean mini-mansion playhouse) is done! Armando and Sef finshed it just a couple days before Mando flew off to Greece. So now I have a job of my own and need to clean it up a bit, paint it, figure out a cover for the sand box part so the neighhborhood cats don't think it's their bathroom, dig a little under the swing area so there is more foot/leg space, furnish/decorate it and I seriously may come up with some kind of a liability form for all the neighborhood kids' parents to sign before they can come play in it. It's ready to play in thow. Esperanza didn't really want to have anything to do with it until it was finished the they guys took all the tools out of it. We went inside and she started dancing, jumping and screaming with excitement! It's her early birthday present (I can't believe she's almost 2!).

This building solid! It is built better and sturdier than most houses these days. It isn't going anywhere, ever! It's not just four walls and a roof - this thing is loaded with all the bells & whistles! Here are the specs - two stories, it's got a covered sand box, a swing, three plexi-glass windows, 1 sliding glass door on the top floor which takes you out to the deck (it is actually a normal size house window), a covered deck with railing on the top level, stairs to get to the deck from outside, a mini-stair case to go from the first floor to the second, a miniature front door that has about a thousand nails in it (Mando went nail happy), a roof peek that is about as high as the roof peek on our house and a future full of fun times to be had by all!

Even though it's a big playhouse, it is miniature. Made for the 'under 4 footer'. Once you reach the age of about 6 or 7 (depending on your genes) you'll feel like a giant in it. Here are a few pictures of Armando and Sef completing it and then some of it all done.
