January 9th and 10th
The flight from Portland to Oahu was long and uneventful. The kids watched movies on the tablets, ate snacks and put up with being confined to their seats for several hours. We got our rental car and checked into our condo, called the Ilani Hotel. It was located close to the beach and downtown and our room was on the 15th floor and where we would be staying for the next 7 nights.
The kids swam in the hotel pool that night, we explored a little bit, ate dinner and slept.
We got some food for the condo, some beach and snorkeling gear from WalMart.
On our first full day on the island, we went to one of the most popular snorkeling spots, Haunama Bay.
