Don't Feed The Ducks!

Is it okay to feed the ducks any place anymore? I don't think it is. I understand and agree with all the reasons people shouldn't feed the ducks. Too bad I don't play by the rules though & think it's more important for my daughter to know what it's like to feed the ducks.

A few weeks ago my sister Mary stayed with us for the weekend and we wanted to take Esperanza someplace to feed the ducks. Lacamas Lake was the spot since it was close & you can usually find and feed some ducks without having to worry about getting caught. I also figured if we didn't find ducks, there were tons of good hiking trails...and if Esperanza wasn't in the mood for a hike, there were swings and slides. We actually visit Lacamas Lake really often because of all that. Don't worry if you're against duck feeding, we don't feed the ducks all that often.

We were able to do it all on this visit: a short hike (which included several encounters with bicyclist who apparently don't know 'bike etiquete' on shared walking trails & various encounters with a few dogs that came close to attacking us & each other), some swinging and best of all...feeding the ducks some stale bread!
