Baby Chicks Again

On the way home from horse lessons the other day, we stopped at the local farm store and picked up 6 new baby chicks! Most of them are only a couple days old, 1 is a week old. We had to get rid of our chickens when we moved and have been looking forward to getting some again. For now, they chicks will be living in the garage, in a cardboard box until the weather warms up and we have a chicken coop built. The kids are in love - I can't wait for eggs!

Esperanza learned how to write her name in cursive. I think we're on to something!

Winter is almost over...Spring is almost here! With eager anticipation of our first Spring in our new home, we bought some pots and colorful Spring flowers to brighten up our space. Esperanza had a great time planting them.

Warm Winter Day At The River

Such a beautiful, warm and sunny day recently! We met some friends at the river today and had so much fun. The kids splashed in the water, played in the sand, ate snack, divided up some vegetable and herb seeds, I drank a summer beer and we all dreamed of more warmer days in our near future.
