Warm Winter Day At The River

Such a beautiful, warm and sunny day recently! We met some friends at the river today and had so much fun. The kids splashed in the water, played in the sand, ate snack, divided up some vegetable and herb seeds, I drank a summer beer and we all dreamed of more warmer days in our near future. 

Nummy Nettles

We went over to a friends house to harvest some nettles. She has a couple of wild, untouched acres in her back yard ideal for nettle harvesting. The kids had a ton of fun running through the forest playing. I found bear poop. We also enjoyed seeing all the beautiful  animals our friend has!

2016 Winter Houses Under Construction

Armando has 3 houses under construction right now. One in Washougal and 2 in Camas. Here are a few recent photos of the progress.

Ducks, Dirt, Math and Random Things

It is still very cold, but the Earth is thawing and it's feeling a bit Springy at times. We are getting some work done outside, garden beds are built, dirt and seeds are here - preparing for gardening. The ducks have joined us. Flowers are blooming. The kids are enjoying the outdoor as much as the indoors and we are so happy to have the space in both areas to spread our wings. We are looking forward to the next season at the Acre of Nature.
