We went to the zoo not once but TWICE last week! Our friends have a membership and invited us to go with them both times. It had been a very long time since we went. I'm torn between feelings of pleasure at how much my kids enjoy seeing the animals, and the sadness I feel towards the animals living in captivity for the sake of mine and my kids' pleasure. It's a tough balance. But we all had a lot of fun and I kind of want to take the kids back more often because of how much the kids enjoyed it there.
