I did some fall gardening recently. I cleaned up the garden, cut down the decaying corn stalks and sunflowers, dug out some of the weeks and layered the beds with a variety of material to compost over the winter. A friend gave me several huge bags of leaves from her yard to use. Before layering the leaves in the garden, the kids and I spent awhile playing with them, burying each other in them and throwing them all over the place. It was a lot of fun.
