A big and almost unexpected snow storm came. We woke up to tons and tons of snow on January 2nd. Esperanza had stayed the night at Tia Eva's house the night before so Ezra got the snow all to himself for the first couple of hours. He was up, in his snow suit and jumping on the snow piled trampoline by 8 am. Then, we got the sled out. Armando pulled Ezra around the snowy property on the sled. After awhile, I called Eva and asked her to bring all the kids over to our place to play in the snow.
Rafa, Kiko, Ezra and Esperanza played in the snow all day long!! They pulled each other down the snowy driveway hill on the sled several times, walked on the iced over pond (and broke through!), through snow balls, came in to eat/warm up, play some card games, work on a puzzle and headed back out for more. Even Celeste had a little bit of fun in the snow. Mostly, she just wanted to do long division on the chalk wall.
We even took a stroll to Safeway in the snow.
